About Public Housing

Public Housing is an urban streetwear brand started by Buddahn Bamboo.

This isn't a brand inspired by project culture. It came from it. The name, the designs, the way we price the pieces — all of it comes from actually growing up in public housing and knowing that the brands claiming to represent the block were never really from it.

Supreme had its moment. Off-White built something intellectual. But neither of them ever made something that was actually for the kid who grew up in the unit, not the kid who wished they had.

That's the gap we're filling.

The Brand

By Buddahn Bamboo is the creative force behind Public Housing. The sketches started in the apartment. The designs came from real places, real moments, real blocks.

The Model

We run pre-order drops. You order, it gets made. No waste, no warehouse, no compromise on quality to hit a number. Every piece is heavyweight, oversized, screen-printed in the US.
