Why We Named It Public Housing

Every other streetwear brand borrows the culture. Supreme used to come from it. Off-White intellectualized it. The ones after them just wore it like a costume.

Public Housing is different because the name is the whole thing. This isn't inspired by the projects. It started there. The sketches happened there. The decisions about what to build and how to price it came from actually knowing what it feels like to want something real but not be able to pay $250 for it.

The name is a line in the sand. You either get it because you lived it, or you get it because you want to understand it. Either way, we made something that stands on its own.
